    Power Window Regulator

Posted by Patrick on 7th Jul 2018

I ordered this part after the tension coil spring came off my factory window regulator when changing out the motor. I recieved it fast so I could finish my interior project. Taking the old ine out and putting the new one in is pretty straight forward thanks to guidance from Ryan and instructions from Auto zone’s website. Even though it says it does not come with a motor it will most likely have an old motor in it when it arrives. Additional instructions would have been very helpful for changing the motor on the regulator prior to putting it in the car. When I popped the rivets holding the motor to the regulator to sawp motors the same thing happened as before and I had to reapply tension to the spring and have someone help me attach the motor while I held tension. If you plan on swapping the motor prior to putting it in the car, yse a pair of vice grips to hold the regulator under tension when you pop the rivets on the motor. I found this out when I pulled the passenger side regulator to mirror the driver side one’s setting. The vice grips held the passenger side one firmly in place and I was able to change the motor without having the reapply tension to the coil spring.
