Product Description:

New Reproduction Coolant Tank for 1989-1992 Camaros and Firebirds

This is an exact replica of the Coolant Tank found on 1988-1992 Camaros and Firebirds.

This tank will also fit the 1982-1988 cars but will not be the original style tank. 1988 was a mixed year, some cars came with the smaller tank and some cars came with the larger tank. Please verify which style you need before ordering.

Cap is not included but can be added at an additional cost.

    Cleans up engine bay

Posted by James on 13th Jun 2017

I bought this to replace my stained reservoir, it does look a lot nicer now. Fit and finish seem to be good, although I was not able to use it with my Holley R4 brackets on my LSx engine but this is in no way a design flaw of Hawks/GM. With the Holley bracket it rotated the R4 compressor and the AC lines move into the space that the reservoir needs. I am going to try the small reservoir, I've never had a car with the small one so I am not sure whether it will work with the Holley AC setup

    Mostly Good

Posted by Unknown on 14th May 2013

The good: - Makes the engine compartment look a lot nicer. - Reasonably priced compared to what an '88 - 92 NOS OEM reservoir might cost. The bad: - The markings are not an exact match to OEM. My original reservoir has a different number and a time/date stamp that is missing from the repro. - My OEM tank cap doesn't thread on the repro tank very well. Not sure it will stay in place long term.
